About two months have passed since the end of the season and our VELUX EHF Champions League celebrities are slowly returning to the handball caravan. The season starts in September, and by then they still have a lot to do. This summer, Vid Kavtičnik and Nikola Karabatić spent a lot of time on beautiful beaches. Let's be honest when you play more than 60 games in the season and you did not have the right rest since July last year, everything you want is ... everything but handball.
NIKOLA KARABATIĆ
It is known that Nikola is closely affiliated with his brother Luka. Last year they jointly extended their contract with HC Paris Saint-Germain. They will remain in the richest club at least until 2022. Their families went to the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe during the first part of the holiday. They enjoyed in turquoise blue sea, paradise beaches, and they undoubtedly rested very well.
In the second part of the holiday, Nikola and his family went on holiday to the Cote d'Azur, more precisely in the vicinity of Marseilles. We believe that our star has rested well and that he will continue his excellent performances next season. He is undoubtedly even more motivated this year, since he has not won the title of the EHF Champions League since 2015.
VID KAVTIČNIK
Our '' Vidko '' has a lot of reasons for joy this year. The ultimate reason for joy is undoubtedly EHF Champions League win with French Montpeiller, where he played one of the most prominent roles. During his summer vacation he loves to travel with his family across European holiday destinations. This year, they went to the Greek island of Crete, where they had a lot of fun as we can see on his social channels.
Vid will start the next season of the EHF Champions League in group A or "group of death". In which he will play against the giants such as HC Vardar, Kielce and Veszprem. We wish him all good in the upcoming season.
IVANO BALIĆ
We all know that the all time handball legend and our loyal ambassador Ivan Balić does not lack the sea, since he was born in Dalmatia more precisely in Split, where he also returned after his career. Nevertheless, he and his family also visit other holidays destinations. This year, however, we are sure that his mind was occupied a lot with the world football championship, which ran from mid-June to mid-July in Russia and where Croatia score second. Ivano and his family watched the matches in his native Split, where the atmosphere was unbelievable, since 5 key men of the Croatian national football team are form Split (Lovro Kalinić, Ivan Strinić, Filip Bradarić, Ivan Perišić and Ante Rebić).
