We are the #simplyfans team gathered in #simplyfans movement. What we have just realized is that we have never before talked to you about what our #simplyfans community is all about and what is actually our true mission in this big sport industry.
But before we even start explaining our mission, let us first introduce the word “fandom” to you.
You may not know the exact definition of it but you are all living it. Fandom is a subculture composed of fans characterized by a feeling of empathy and camaraderie with others who share a common interest – in our case, Handball. Fandom is a group of people who cheer for the same team and this support goes beyond of just watching the game. The real member of a fandom will likely know more things then just who scored the last goal. There is a sense of belonging, both to the team, as well as to other fans of the team.
If you are a true fan of a PSG or Veszprem handball team, you support the team while visiting their matches and cheering for them; if you know a lot of details of handball players and know some of the good tactics they play then you certainly are a part of their fandom.
But what it means to be a part of #simplyfans fandom?
Our mission is to take you beyond the borders of your homeland, to lead you few steps further from the hall of your favorite handball team, to erase race, nation and other limitations and show you the next level of cheering – cheering for handball!
We SUPPORT you in being a fan of a particular team.
We RESPECT your devotion to the particular team.
We want you to STAND BEHIND your particular team.
But we also want you to become a FAN OF HANDBALL. To become the part of a group where handball fans are united.
And this is what #simplyfans fandom is all about.
Our mission is to “bridge the divide”. To unite all handball fans no matter the nation, race, culture or religion background.
#simplyfans means simply being a fan of handball.
