The handball player with Croatian father and Serbian mother, lives and plays in France. With the France national team, he has won all major international titles: Olympic games, World and European Champions. His club career is no less impressive, with three Championship League titles so far. For three times, he was the IHF World Player of the Year.

Vid Kavtičnik is one of the greatest Slovenian handball players of all time.
He became the Slovenian champion in 2003 with his first club, the RK Gorenje Velenje. In 132 matches he played for the Kiel club, he scored 567 goals, and won four consecutive German championships and the Champions League title. With his current club, Montpellier HB, he has won three French championship titles along numerous other major titles. With the Slovenia national team, he has won silver at the European Championship and helped them win bronze at the World Championship as the team captain.
