Gorenje presents the #simplyfans movement

Gorenje, proud sponsor of the upcoming EHF European Handball Championship, commits to fair cheering under the hashtag #simplyfans. Fans from the region and the world are united in passionate cheering for individual teams. But the basic connection, common to all, is even stronger – and that is love for handball. That is why we created the #simplyfans movement, the first fan group for handball in the world.

Anyone can be a part of it – those crossing fingers on the sofa in front of the TV, those loudly celebrating goals on the stands, and those who love to simply play handball. Handball is unpredictable but that is why it is so exciting. It is important, though, to make sure that sport is in the foreground in every single moment – not just among players on the court but among fans on the stands as well. At the end of day, we are all fans of this amazing game.

The #simplyfans initiative comes from the core mission of Gorenje, which simplifies users’ lives with innovative, user-friendly appliances (Life Simplified). Gorenje thus makes it possible for users to devote themselves to the little pleasures in life; to what makes them happy and fulfils them – including cheering.

Cheering can also be completely simple and freeing, if it is not spoiled by intolerance or even violence. Gorenje therefore invites fans of all nationalities, cultures and beliefs to cheer fairly and for the fair play, and celebrate the beauty of handball – as one, as #simplyfans.
