Sporty coolers for hot summer

Is there anything better than spending hot afternoons in a shade on a terrace with ice cold drink in your hand?

We made sure to find the very best recipes for delicious coolers.

These drinks are refined sugar-free, totally natural and packed with amazing flavors – totally appropriate for all (training-free) handballers, too!

WATERMELON LEMONADE
… because who doesn’t love watermelon, right?!

INGREDIENTS:

  •  5 cups of cubed watermelon
  • ⅓ cup of fresh lemon juice (2 lemons)
  • 3 table spoons of honey
  • 4 cups of water

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cut watermelon into small cubes and place in our Gorenje blender.
  2. Add water and honey and combine again.
  3. Pour in a glass mason jars or bottle and store in fridge
  4. Allow to chill at least an hour and serve over ice.

BANANA MOCKTAIL
… frosty tropical cocktail but (guilt) alcohol free.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 medium-sized ripe bananas cut in chunks
  • 2 table spoons of lime juice
  • 1 table spoon of rum extract
  • ½ cup of cold water
  • 2 cups of ice

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1.  Place all ingredients in our Gorenje blender and blend until frosty smooth.
  2. Pour into glasses and serve with a slice of lime.

If you don’t worry about calories too much, add one tablespoon of liquid whipped cream. It tastes heavenly!

MINT FIZZ

… that will cool you down like a sea breeze.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1,5 l of sparkling water
  • one sliced cucumber
  • 25g  of mint leaves
  • one sliced lemon or lime

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Put all the ingredients into a large jug, let it chill, add ice and serve.

STRAWBERRY – HIBISCUS ICE TEA

… wildly popular with unique health benefits.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 5 cups of water
  • ½ cup of hibiscus leaves (or hibiscus tea)
  • 1 cup of chopped strawberries
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 3 table spoons of honey
  • ice
  • strawberries, lime, fresh mint – to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a medium pot bring water to a boil.  Once boiling, add the hibiscus leaves to the boiling water. Remove from heat.
  2. Add the strawberries, mint leaves and honey to the pot. Gently mash strawberries and allow tea to steep for approximately twenty minutes.
  3. Pour tea through a fine mesh strainer into a glass pitcher.
    Put in the fridge to cool. Once cooled, fill pitcher with ice.
  4. For serving, fill each glass with ice, fresh chopped strawberries, mint leave, lime and cold Strawberry - Hibiscus Ice Tea.
    Add honey if needed.
