Tribute to handball's Mozart

Tribute to handball's Mozart

As the new season of VELUX EHF Champions League is about to start, we are looking back at our interview with one of handball's legend, our unique ambassador, Ivano Balić.

He is a former Croatian handballer, world and Olympic champion. He was voted 5 times in a row as the most valuable player in major international competitions, and is one of only four male handball players who received the IHF World Player of the Year award on two occasions (2003, 2006). He is considered by many as the best handball player in history.

We are honored to have him as #simplyfans ambassador, basically, now, when he is not professionally playing anymore, he is one of the true simply FANS of handball.

We have spend an afternoon with him on this years` EHF EURO that was held in his home country, Croatia, some of the preliminary matches were also held in his home town of Split.

He discussed with us his view on handball and importance of fans. In between he met some of the fans and made millions of selfies with them. We really must admit, he is definitely a legend on the court and privately.
