Gorenje as Official partner of EHF EURO 2020

EHF EURO 2020 was all about uniting all European handball nations and it took place in three European countries – Austria, Sweden and Norway. For the first time in the history of this competition, all together 24 nations participated at the tournament.

Gorenje is certain that this sponsorship brings the Slovenian company a good reputation, respect and even greater level of brand awareness in all markets as many of the main markets are also strong and successful countries on handball level.

Launch of the new Gorenje mascot and its presence at EHF EURO 2020

In December, Gorenje successfully launched its first mascot – cute retro fridge named Gorini. As an official mascot of the company, the lovable Gorini was an important part of Gorenje activations at this year’s EHF EURO and he was a star in Graz, Vienna and in Stockholm. He was entertaining fans at the Gorenje booth, took over the place with prize games in half-times during preliminary and main round and he prepared something big for the final weekend in Stockholm!

Highlight of #simplyfans movement – Gorini and his friends from Dunking Devils

At the final weekend of the tournament Gorini captivated the Swedish capital with his friends, world-famous acrobats Dunking Devils. In spirit of the best fan cheering, for EHF EURO 2020, Dunking Devils combined forces with the artists from the Flipping Art, DaMove and Atrifex groups. They visited some of the beautiful Stockholm landscapes while cheering, dancing and doing acrobatic stunts and spreading the cheering atmosphere among tourists and the locals.

The playful team of Gorini and his from the Flipping Art, DaMove and Atrifex also met with #simplyfans ambassador, Slovenian national team player Vid Kavtičnik and they also met two Spanish handballers, Daniel Dujshebaev and Aitoro Ariño – they became European champions with the team of Spain!

The highlight of the final weekend was Gorini’s half-time show at the 1st place match, where the acrobatics stunts and Gorini’s dancing moves entertained the full Tele2 arena with its 20.000 spectators.

European championship was an unforgettable experience which its presented in the unforgettable VIDEO.
