Vegan steak tartare by Ivano Balić and his manager
As the old saying goes ‘behind every successful man there’s a strong woman,” Ivano Balic is no exception. If in his private life this strong woman is his life partner Mirela Delic, on the business side, that woman is his manager Gabrijela Grgić Bartowski.
We always get lots of details about athletes themselves, their trainings and matches, but seldom we get the eye on their private life and important people that surround them. We wanted to change that and invited in our Gorenje kitchen, our ambassador Ivano along with his manager Gabriela, to do some magic together and prepare a tasty snack.
As we got to know them better in person we soon realized, they both love to gather together in a relaxed company and enjoy in a good food. And what would a good gathering be without delicious steak tartare?!
To spicy things up, we had in mind this time their friends that avoid meat and prepare a vegan version of steak tartare. Grab a recipe bellow and organize a lovely gathering for important people in your life that you want to call for so long but always get disturbed by everyday life situations.
- 1/2 cup cooked green lentil
- 1/2 cups of sun-dried tomatoes (drain the oil from the tomatoes and pat off any excess oil with paper towels before using them)
- 1 very small onion (or half larger onion)
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 teaspoon of mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon of caper )
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil
- fresh parsley
Mix all ingredients in the mixer.
Serve with a grilled toast spread with butter.
